Digital Portfolios
From the Ontario eWorkshop Site:
A portfolio is a collection of samples of a student’s work, and is focussed, selective, reflective, and collaborative. It offers a visual demonstration of a student’s achievement, capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, knowledge, and specific skills, over time and in a variety of contexts. A digital portfolio simply moves a traditional collection of paper and other artifacts into a variety of digital forms that may include documents (writing samples, reports, etc.), pictures (art, mind maps, science experiments, etc.), audio (reading, reflection and feedback, etc.), video (drama activities, science experiments, etc.) and more. Virtually anything that can be recorded in some kind of digital format can be added to a digital portfolio. |
There are a variety of tools that can be used to create digital portfolios.
